.FAQ, or our most “frequently asked questions.”

Q. What is Hypnosis and how does it work?
A.
Hypnosis comes from the old Greek word hypnos for “sleep”; however, you’re not really asleep in the normal
sense. Under the guidance of a professional hypnotist, your mind is guided into a heightened state of focus
suggestibility, allowing you to accept the powerful new suggestions for change that you really want.
Fact: You can never, ever, hypnotize anyone to do anything they don’t really want to do, in spite of what they
portray in movies and televison shows.

Q. Where does it happen?
A.
We guide you into hypnosis while you are relaxing in a big comfortable recliner in our office. It’s pleasant, r
relaxing, and enjoyable. The lights are on, and you’re always completely safe and protected.

Q. Am I in a coma state?
A
. No! Actually, it’s just the opposite! Here’s a fact most people aren’t aware of. While you are in a state of
hypnosis, you’re actually aware of every sound and every word spoken. You don’t care, (perhaps because you’re
so relaxed). No one ever controls you, and in fact if you wanted to you could emerge or wake up from hypnosis
anytime you wish.

Q. Is Hypnosis approved by the AMA?
A
. Yes, indeed it is. The American Medical Association, as well as the British Medical Association, sanctioned hypnosis and began using it over fifty years ago. Each day it’s used by professional therapists, doctors, and
dentists, around the world.
